Very soon, bookings for Air Deccan flights from Kolkata will start for destinations like Agartala, Bagdogra, Cooch Behar, Durgapur, Jamshedpur and Rourkela.
Air Deccan flight ticket booking has started and the airline will start its flight operations from 22nd December, 2017. At first, the airline will fly to destinations like Mumbai, Nashik, Jalgaon, Pune and Kolhapur. One-way flights from Mumbai to Nashik for the end of December will start from Rs. 1,310.
The pioneer of low-cost airlines in India, Air Deccan is owned by G R Gopinath. The airline later on merged with Kingfisher Airlines that is dysfunctional now. The first Air Deccan flights will take off on 22nd December from Nashik to Mumbai, as per the website.
On the portal, airfare for one-way flights from Pune to Nashik on 30th December was available for booking from Rs. 1,670.
Later on, Air Deccan will have bases in Delhi and Kolkata for flying to destinations around them. Air Deccan had got the rights to operate UDAN flights in the first round of bidding happened in March. They were given 128 routes.

According the regional connectivity scheme (RCS), also called as UDAN (‘Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik’), airfares will be kept up to Rs. 2,500 per person for an hour’s flight to Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Actually, government will provide subsidy to keep flight tickets at low prices in order to improve air connectivity in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
