Borobudur

Situated about 40 KM northwest of Yogyakarta on Java, the Borobudur is amongst the most popular Buddhist temple in the world. The temple was constructed over a period of around 75 years in the 8th and 9th centuries by the Kingdom of Sailendra. It is made up of approx. 2 million blocks of stone.
